Allllrighiiiiiit. Grab yourself a couple songs from Pepper, and while your in the neighborhood have a listen to the always entertaining Aussies Goons of Doom. The Volcom Entertainment 2010 Label Sampler was just released and it is absolutely free.
On the disc you will also find some musical arrangements by Valient Thorr, Kandi Coded, and Kaleo's side project Sabotage Soundsystem.
When you go the MGMT website to download their new song, Flash Delirium, take a moment to gaze at all of the doodled band logos circulating on top of the page. There are some really cool ones. I think my favorite is the sunglasses. There's one where the letters are melting into a puddle that is pretty cool to. Just remember to not forget the free song. It's great.
Check out the new video from Frank Turner for his ballad Isabel. The song comes off the Manchester singer's latest album Poetry of The Deed. In classic Frank style, the song takes a look back at youth, with one eye on the future. And a bit of love thrown in for good measure.
Have you seen the new music video from Neon Trees and their track Animal? This time around the Utah pop rockers take over an art show. Where everyone happens to be an animal!
Believe it or not but Bad Religion has been around for 30 years. The Southern California punk band, who formed in 1980, is celebrating their 30th anniversary this Spring with a tour and a present to all their fans - a free live album. And the live album will contain a few new songs.
Greg and Brett and the rest of the band announced on their website, "To celebrate three decades of Bad Religion, we'll be recording a live album during our spring 2010 tour, and offering it as a free 'thank you' to the loyal fans who've been with us through all the sweet and mayhem."
"We'll be playing a few tracks at the shows from our new album, coming this fall, so this will be a great way to get a preview of the new tunes."
Hole has released their first new song in over a decade, and it was co-written by a guitar player who was two-years-old when the band originally formed. The new song, Skinny Little Bitch, is the first single off Hole's upcoming album Nobody's Daughter. The remodeled band has only one original member - Courtney Love, but their signature sound does seem to have changed. According to her Twitter, Love says she and new guitarist Micko Larkin - who is 23-years-old - are the primary songwriters of Skinny Little Bitch:
"LETS GET THIS STRAIGHT RIGHT NOW SKINNY LTTLE BITCH WAS WRITTEN BY LARKIN AND LOVE NOONE ELSE TOUCHED IT"
Have yourself a listen right here (or on the Hole MySpace):
SoCal punk rock staples Pennywise have joined this summer's Warped Tour for a few weeks worth of dates.
Pennywise, with new singer Zoli Teglas, will be playing Warped from July 20th to Aug 8th. So basically the East Coast and Mid-West.
The 2010 Warped Tour kicks off in San Diego on Jun. 24th, and then up California and over to the desert of Arizona.
One noticable - and unrelated - complaint heard of this year's tour is trading the gorgeous Pier 30/32 stop in San Francisco for the parking lot of Shoreline in Mountain View.
Anywho, here's the Pennywise announcement by Fletcher and Zoli:
Lil Wayne is spending what could be one of his last nights of outside a jail cell chilling on U-Stream, taking fans on a tour of his house, cooking dinner and watching movies on the ceiling. Noticeably missing from the party are some diamond teeth.
