Axl Rose has made a spectacular return to public life by knocking a paparazzi on his ass in the airport. A dreadless Axl and a snapper went at it in LAX after Axl felt the pap was threatening his lady. The Guns N' Roses singer can be heard shouting in the airport "touch her again I'll break his fucking neck". After a few seconds he charges the guy, connects to his head, and then stomps him a couple times as the guy lay on the ground.
Here's the first tour poster from Guns N' Roses new shows. GNR is playing a few shows in Asia. This poster is for a concert in South Korea on Dec. 13th.
This mini-tour will be Axl Rose's first public appearance in support of Chinese Democracy.
The rock band comic book company Rock 'N' Roll Comics is making a triumphant return to the shelves of book stores later this year. The company, which launched with an issue on Guns N' Roses in 1989, was shut down in the '90s after the murder of founder Todd Loren. Loren was stabbed to death and his murder is still unsolved, although clues link the crime to the same serial killer who murdered designer Gianni Versace.
Rock 'N' Roll Comics published biographies on Van Halen, AC/DC, Motley Crue, Guns N' Roses, KISS, Led Zeppelin and many more. Each issue carried the tagline 'Unauthorized And Proud Of It'. New Kids On The Block eventually sued the company, and lost. The result set a First Amendment legal victory for the comic book industry protecting their right to free speech.

In 1990 Michael Jackson called Slash to help out on two songs for his upcoming album, Dangerous. Those two songs were called 'Black Or White' and 'Give In To Me.'
On the news of Michael's death Slash picked up his phone and posted a note on his Twitter:
"Really sad news about Michael. He was a talent from on high."
I don't know if you've noticed, but a little while ago Axl Rose released an album that took 13 years to complete. (Guns n' Roses, Chinese Democracy) It's rumored to have been the most expensive album ever produced. Axl hasn't made one public appearance in the seven months or so since Democracy was released. And music video?? Nah. In fact there's been no promotion. But one thing that has been done according to the New York Daily News is Axl firing his manager at least three times over the last two months:
Axl Rose has been having mood swings. The Guns N’ Roses front man, an admitted manic-depressive, has fired and rehired famed manager Irving Azoff at least three times in the last five weeks, according to a source. The reclusive rocker is said to be resisting Azoff's pleas to try to revive sales of the band's recent album, "Chinese Democracy." "Axl doesn't want anything to do with it," says the insider. "He won't come out of his house."
A source close to Azoff admits, "Axl is Axl. People get hired and fired all the time in this business."
But Azoff's rep says that, as of last week, he and Rose are talking again: "We're in daily contact with Axl, and we look forward to continuing to support him and Guns N' Roses."
Prog rocker Andrew Stockdale of Wolfmother is in LA right now recording a new album at the legendary Sunset Studios. A few days back Slash, of GNR fame, updated this on his Twitter:
"Meeting up with Andrew Stockdale (Wolfmother) tonight, should be cool."
Soon after Slash cruised by, Andrew gave an interview to an Aussie radio station where he described the evening:
"I had a guest in last night.... I had Slash. I'm serious. We were planning to meet up and... he came in on sunday night. "
"And yeah he was like sitting there, we were both sitting there with acoustics."
"He just seemed like the real deal. Well... we might be doing a song. Yeah yeah we might be doing a song... so we're just plating around with ideas and stuff."
Wolfmother also played a free show last friday at a museum. Catch them palying 'Joker and the Thief' right here.
Back in the day when Guns N' Roses had band members named Axl, Slash, and Duffthey wrote a song called 'Get in the Ring'. It was a call for retribution. The song featured lyrics that went like this:
"... And that goes for all you punks in the press, That want to start shit by printin' lies, Instead of the things we said, That means you... Bob Guccione Jr. at Spin. What you pissed off cuz your dad gets more pussy than you? Fuck you. Suck my fuckin' dick!"
Bob Guccione Sr. owns 'Penthouse' mag, of course. So anyways, flash forward to today, and here's Spin Magazine interviewing Duff this week:
Spin: Are you and Slash more likely to reunite with him (Axl Rose), or with Scott Weiland?
Duff:Axl, if I could only choose between the two. Some bad shit happened at the end of that last Velvet Revolver tour. It was brutal.
Spin: Got any other shocking guilty pleasures?
Duff:I saw Katy Perry a couple weeks ago. She's fucking amazing.
Fucking amazing. There's a lot more to the Q&A, but those are my faves. But if you'd like to find out which GNR member is obsessed with George Michael, which one loves reggae, and some thoughts on "all the Single Ladies, all the Single Ladies," head over to SPIN.
Guns N' Roses (the band) is coming to 'Rock Band' (the video game) on Tuesday (April 14).
Actually 'Chinese Democracy' is coming to Rock Band, and not all of the GNR albums. That's sort of unfortunate. But what's not unfortunate is imagining little kids try and sing this:
